Umpiring
| As a condition of registration, ALL senior
players (turf and grass), and all J Turf players must undertake
umpiring responsibilities. Umpiring is allocated by either BWHA or VWHC, depending on the division of the umpiring to be undertaken, and is communicated to players via email on a weekly basis. As a club, we are doing our best to develop support frameworks to assist in the developing of umpires. However, this also requires the support of the players - in particular the players that are confident and competent umpires. More information on our umpiring development initiatives will be posted soon. In the meantime, all players are reminded that if you have a problem undertaking any of your allocated umpiring, you need to talk to the Umpiring Coordinator as early as possible to make alternate arrangements, as any player responsible for the club incurring a fine (for umpires not turning up to undertake allocations) will be liable to pay the fine charged to the Club by BWHA. Non-attendance to an umpiring allocation can also result in a suspension from participating in fixtures, at the discretion of the BWHA. |
